Hi Carrie, I was just wondering…do Dental Schools in Canada care about whether or not you have done research, or lab positions during your undergrad? What about extracurriculars?
Hi Vid, I apologize for the delayed reply. Back when I was applying (2013), it seemed that most Canadian schools were only interested in your GPA and DAT scores. Unlike med school or American dental schools, most Canadian dental schools did not require a personal statement, dental shadowing hours or even reference letters. That said, I believe it never hurts to be a well-rounded applicant… it may give you experiences to talk about during your interviews!
